Hong Kong’s Escalators Series
May 31, 2009 | Category: Travels | 2 Comments
Hong Kong is currently the country that having the most skycrapers in the world and the number of skycrapers will continue to increase due to the high demand for office and housing spaces. Not to mention, the shopping complexes and buildings floors will be double digits numbered as well.
Could it be boring to climb floor by floor each time?
What if we wanted to skip some floors given we know the shop we wanted to go?
What if the lifts are too slow or long queue to wait for?
. . . . . but maybe not if we having shortcut . . . . .
like these . . . . .

Escalators at Grand Century Place, Mongkok

How many floors it skipped?

Anyone craze for Italian food?
Here is one good restaurant which I could recommend for some value fine Italian dining at Ipoh,
Spaghetti Sweet Tea Cafe or in short, SSTC
The restaurant is located at Medan Ipoh Bestari, Ipoh Garden East
at the shoplots near the McDonald’s Drive-Thru which next to Petronas Station.

The beverages preparation counter.

The wall design and table seating.

If I’m good enough to remember correctly, I ordered “Mint Coffee” (something like that
)
served with appetizer (unknown ~ LOL!)

A creamy pasta with potatoes, just nice enough since I asked for some light pasta
~ Next is a MUST TRY at SSTC ~

. . . the TIRAMISU . . .

Just delicious…
For those that looking for the address, here it is :
19A, Jalan Medan Ipoh 1E,

Lunch @ Watami Japanese Casual Restaurant, Hong Kong
May 23, 2009 | Category: Food, Travels | 6 Comments
It was a wet day today for Hong Kong, raining from early morning until late evening. Taking this opportunity, I went to try my luck at Watami Japanese Casual Restaurant branch which located nearby my current location. Why I said “luck”? It’s not that I need luck for a meal but to get a seat there without waiting on weekends is like almost mission impossible (=_=!!) *swt*
and . . . . .
Ah~ha! Just as I expected, not many people were there today due to the rain
. I can even walk-in and pick a seat which I like

The Menu
This was my 2nd visit for this restaurant… and they told me no meal set available for Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays. I was like… huh? I just had a meal set last Saturday at another branch and they told me they doesn’t serve any for today (Saturday). I told them about my previous visit and that changes already been made that meal sets are available on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays too. They look puzzled. Ah well, just let it be since I’m not looking forward for their meal set actually ~ LOL ~ XD
so I ordered . . . . .

Watami’s Assorted Deluxe Sushis
which has

Grilled Scallop Sushi

Salmon & Seafood Sushi

Unagi Sushi
next . . . . .

Garlic Fried Rice with Assorted Seafood
Not to forget my drink . . . . .

Cookie & Ice-Cream

Here we go, my lunchie
The portion for the fried rice isn’t that much, just like 2/3 of our normal big bowl of rice, so I’m not taking heavy weight consumption here ~ Hahahaha ~ *hopefully*

I like the sushis
Causeway Bay > Centre Street > Iced Cafe Mocha
May 22, 2009 | Category: Drinks / Desserts, Travels | Leave a Comment
Remember Hong Kong’s triads hit movies series, “Young and Dangerous” starred by E-kin Cheng and Jordan Chan? Bearing the names such as Hung Hing Society and Causeway Bay (Tung Lo Wan)? Recall these names?
I believe many that watches this movies series will heard of it and here we go…

Causeway Bay, Hong Kong
I’m not sure if any triad society is here, but for sure Causeway Bay is one of the major shopping attraction and tourists visit at Hong Kong
Here we move to the next place which I guess not many tourists will visit then

Centre Street, Hong Kong
According to Wikipedia,
Centre Street is the key centre point of the most active traditional market in Western District of Hong Kong Island. It runs from Connaught Road, crossing Des Voeux Road West and Queen’s Road West then climbing steeply up the hill crossing First Street, Second Street, Third Street, High Street then ends in steps to Bonham Road.
The facts are pretty true indeed. All the above mentioned roads and streets are traditional markets with speciality names such as Dried Seafood Street and Ginseng & Bird Nest Street
Finally, another drink of the day…

Berry’s Temptation
May 21, 2009 | Category: Drinks / Desserts | Leave a Comment
Did I mentioned about berry’s temptation limited time available from both Pacific Coffee and Starbucks? Well, Pacific Coffee’s Choc Berry Chillino already no longer available and substituted by Spicy Mango Passionfruit Chillino, but Starbucks’ Dark Berry Mocha Frappuccino still being available. After all, Choc Berry Chillino was available much earlier than Dark Berry Mocha Frappuccino
How’s both taste like? To be honest, I’m not quite a berry taster person. From the word “berry” being visible, instantly I got a “sour” taste which I’m not much prefer with. Yet still I took Choc Berry Chillino for my first try and the taste was just unique
. A taste of deep chocolate with some unique sour-like taste from the berry added with some cream just make it perfect mix. I JUST LOVE IT ~ LOL ~ XD

Pacific Coffee’s Choc Berry Chillino
Not long then, Starbucks also offer limited time available selection for their Dark Berry Mocha Frappuccino! How’s the taste for this go then? I taste it as almost the same with Pacific’s but just slightly milder chocolate taste than it which make the berry taste being much more available. Another perfect mix I would say

Pacific Coffee’s Iced-Cappuccino…
May 20, 2009 | Category: Drinks / Desserts, Travels | Leave a Comment
The taste was refreshing… I just had an iced-cappuccino from KFC (what??!!!) for today’s lunch and it was refreshing! Again, it had been long time since I last had cappuccino drink
. Emm… sounds like almost a year ago? LOLx ~ XD
Most of the time these days I’ll most likely hit myself with mocha drinks at either Coffee Bean (not in Hong Kong), McDonald’s McCafé, Starbucks or Pacific Coffee upon my visit. Recall my previous visits then there were berry’s temptation promotion for Spring season. Later in the end of the day, I still couldn’t let go the cappuccino memory… which ended up with…

… another Iced-Cappuccino drink from Pacific Coffee’s
P/S: Ah~ha!!! Hong Kong’s KFC is offering Cappuccino and Mocha drinks now for summer temptation ~ LOLx

Manually…
April 27, 2009 | Category: my Story | Leave a Comment
Huh? I wonder when was the last time I did this kind of “thingy” manually. Not that I even remember how, when, where, who and why I did it manually for last time. After that we’re living in an advanced technology world today, I believe many did not experience if not have forgotten how to do this manually anyway. Haha~ It is surely something that very special and unique for me to did it as someone said,
“ if i receive it is good enough :) “
That someone, remember this phrase?
P/S: Not to mention I actually sweat myself out to complete it manually
19th…
